Top End on :)

Some progress pictures.

Top nuts are temporary, have to open it up to index the slotted cam to meet the Megacycle specs.
We have the proper brass seal washers and Nyloc nuts for head retention.

Looking down velocity stack to intake valve.

Reshaped exhaust port.

Have to degree the cam, then add ignition parts/covers, then back in the frame for pipe fitting and final bracket making/welding. Will need to add all the brackets for the electrical stuff, coils, regulator, Ballistic battery, fuse panel etc.

  1. Scott, make sure your orifice in your russell fitting (crankcase end) is the same as the OEM Yamaha one - if it differs too much you may suffer from top end oil starvation.

    1. Dale,
Yes the -4 fitting at the bottom is slightly bigger than the stock restrictor. If anything it may get too much oil, which I assume will come out the breather. they are close. I measured them but don't remember.
Thanks for your concern though, I'm sure there are things I might have missed.

      Scott.
